Equivalent Channel Transformation of Boundary Conditions of Unsteady Flows in Water Diversion Projects


Abstract:
The complexity of simulation of the unsteady flows in water diversion projects depends on how to describe their boundary conditions.This paper presented a new method for dealing with the boundary conditions of nodes.Using this new method,the gate,multi-function automatic adjustment weir-well and regulation pond as well as pumping station etc.can be replaced by an equivalent channel in mathematics except bifurcating nodes.As a result,the boundary conditions of the nodes can be described using a uniform standard mathematical model to make the computation of unsteady flow to normalize.
