Set Pair Analysis and Its Application to the Division of Flood Period


Abstract:
The valid division of flood period is more important for flood control,water use and security utilities of flood resources.The usual methods of division of flood period are complicated for mathematic theories and difficult to calculate.In this paper a new approach,set pair analysis method (SPAM) has been presented.The basic idea of set pair analysis and the calculation steps of SPAM are discussed.The case study of the division of flood period has shown that the SPAM is feasible.The SPAM is a satisfactory approach to division of flood period whose concept and structure and calculation are simple and clear.
